Talking Points prior to liftoff

•  Have some serious discussions with your network manager and operations team

•  We have a large network (WAN) that required some special considerations from our network folks. Meet and talk it's very important

•  iPads do not support Flash so many media type sites will not function, word to the wise, know your content prior to launching into a lesson/site

Decisions prior to liftoff, cont. When setting up the kids with Edmodo for use

later on iPads •  Set up the accounts on a desktop PC rather

than the iPads. •  Know who is assigned to what iPad. This

has many advantages (saving/lack of, pictures, data, uploading)

•  Use the iPad as an instructional tool/Creation tool

•  The keyboard is non-standard and can pose challenges/limitations
