and logging system. The heart of the system is the Advantech IPC PACE Central Processor and logging system. The heart of the system is the Advantech IPC PACE Central Processor

networked weather data to remote display PCs.networked weather data to remote display PCs.
The PACE central processor acquires the data from the sensors and carries
out various processing techniques to generate the appropriate weather pa-
rameters for display and logging. These processes can include averaging
(data is displayed as either instantaneous or 10 minute means), selecting
maxima, data quality checking and correcting for sensor elevation.
The processed weather information is then displayed locally at the Pace
Central Processor on a PC monitor and made available to remote display
PCs (where required). The information for the remote displays can be pro-
vided over the local area network (LAN). The remote displays run the same
display program used by the central processor itself thereby ensuring that
all weather display screens have the same functionality as the display at the
central processor but operate entirely independently of each other.
All configuration facilities are available at the central processor only.
Remote display PCs have full independent control of and access
to the various display screens but have no access to
configuration utilities.
The central processor carries out data archiving.
The archived data files are automatically stored
on the hard drive and can if required be
logged to a remote networked location.
These *.CSV files can be viewed using any
text editor file or can be imported into
programs such as Excel in order generate
graphs of historical data. For a full
explanation of the data archiving facility
please refer to appropriate guide
document within this manual.
