9.4 Decision on certification 9.4.1 The information gathered during the certification process shall be sufficient: a) for the certification body to make a decision on certification; b) for traceability in the event, for example, of an appeal or a complaint. The CB shall ensure that it has gathered sufficient evidence in auditable form for the candidate to be assessed and a decision on certification can be made. This information shall be held by the CB for auditing, validation and, should it be necessary, appeal or complaint. The information shall be kept either in paper of electronic form. 9.4.2 Decisions for granting, maintaining, recertifying, extending, reducing, suspending or withdrawingcertification shall not be outsourced. The CB shall not outsource the third parties for granting, maintaining, recertifying, extending, reducing, suspending or withdrawing certification.
