“ORIGINALITY IS FREEDOM” The Iquitment Manifesto

Zig when they zag, and zag when they zig. This is the mentality for which Iquitment was founded upon:

being yourself. Do you.

Don’t worry about what they’re doing or what they’re thinking. The best way to be original is to do what you want.

Although, there are obvious repercussions: you might get misunderstood,

you might get outed, you might even get busted.

The important thing is don’t be discouraged.

You have to be dedicated if you ever truly want to be original,but the concept of being a complete original is a pretty obscure scenario.

Some people don’t want to be an anomaly.So for all of us free thinkers,

who respect being different & appreciate alternate opinions,but don’t want to live on the outskirts of society,

there is a middle ground.We can exist in a society which demands homogenization

and offset it in small incriments by showcasing what defines us. We can redefine our public property,

reinterperate our individuality,support our artists& zag when they zig.

Do you & support those who are doing likewise.

SHIRTS!Each of our shirts are designed to make you feel like a million bucks.

Sporting these idiosyncratic spectacles will surely turn heads and make your switch 360 flips soar for the skies!

Our shirts are screenprinted onto American Apparel’s 2001 Fine Jersey Short Sleeve T-Shirts. They are 100% cotton construction, made with 100% fine ring-spun

combed cotton for a smooth, tight-knit result. Fabric weight is 4.3 oz/yd squared.

has come to embody Iquitment’s identity as the initial logo. Inspired off the original

prototype, the “Specimen” tee currently comes in three variations from its origin.

“HOMOGENIZE”Homogenize Now is a cry to irony, serving as the negation to our founding motto. It defines the satirical wit behind a lot of our humor and design. It is our belief that an intervention is best carried out through humor and absurdity.

HATS!The head is an important part of the body... but it is booooooooooring.

We have something that can help spruce it up a notch.

Our hats are handknit by Iquitment’s own Master Knitter Julie May. As legend has it she studied with a monk in the mountaintops where she was taught all

the best kept secrets of knitting. She uses a blend of mohair, wool & cotton in combination methods of hand knitting & purling, and duplicate stitch for the details.

“OBA” The “Oba” was inspired by the brilliant dress of Congolese kings. Their attire is constructed and designed to bringdominance and commande respect.So... Likewise.

“MILK”“Milk” is one of our simplestand strongest designs. It utilisesvibrant colors and grided typographyto stand out in any situation. It alsokind of looks like an eye from the top.

“TUNNEL”“Tunnel” is an original design developedby Julie May. It employs her great colorintuition and skillful pattern execution.Just her first design in the series, it isthe begining of many in which we award her complete creative control.

CREWS!Our crew runs deep, so our crews run deeper. No, not really. We’re just a couple of good kids.

But our crews are good too.

Our hats are handknit by Iquitment’s own Master Knitter Julie May. As leg-end has it she studied with a monk in th 7.75 oz. 50% cotton, 50% polyester blended

fleece fabric, Air Jet yarn, Double-needle stitching, set-in sleeves, 1X1 athletic rib with spandex, 18000 Gildan.

“BOURGEOISE” The “Bourgeoise” crew is the darling of the working class. By working class we mean those of us on the grind. The crooked grind. It’s made durable and versatile to keep you warm on late night skate sessions and keep you looking good for the after party.

“ZIG ZAG”Inspired by the ideology from one of our favorite graphic designers, Milton Glaser, the “Zig Zag” is about much more than a fashion statement. It is an existence statement: apply where needed.
