Iridium ‐ Unique Global Network• 66 cross‐linked, low earth orbit (LEO) satellites
• Only fully global voice and data provider with pole‐to‐pole coverage
• Satellites are cross‐linked and messages are routed through network and grounded at teleports around the world
• Aircraft connectivity is seamless
• Added redundancy and exceptional network availability
Iridium constellation with 100% global service area
• 6 orbital planes of 11 satellites each + 1 spare• North bound on one side of earth and south bound on other• 780 km altitude, 86.4o inclination, 100 minute orbital period

The World of Iridium Aviation • Iridium Status
Iridium satellite network is healthy and stable Iridium has a strong funding profile for the completion of Iridium NEXT
development and deployment
• Current Iridium Technology/Services Redundant GES – linked with dynamic TPN Small form factor antenna and transceiver – easy to develop and install No retirement of services and continuation of all products under NEXT
• Iridium, in partnering with world class developers, provides services to 10s of thousands of subscribers across all aviation market segments Iridium market share continues to increase across all segments Iridium success in OEMs continuing to accelerate

IRIDIUM FANS IMPROVEMENT
Iridium Performance – RCP240/RSP180
• Mix of performance observed in FIR reports• Generally, Iridium meets RCP240 but certain air fleets exhibit RSP180 challenges
• Some instances of poor performance of early Iridium equipment identified
• Other issues still exist but no single solution
Iridium Ongoing ActionsARINC Discussions ‐ Ongoing• Working closely with ARINC over past 8 months • Detailed monitoring and reports run on all Iridium aircraft installs• Discussion cover the analysis of the reports for areas of study
Iridium Network Engineering Actions ‐ Ongoing• Network analysis of SBD transactions for aircraft installs
Over 300 aircraft found to have “Ring Alerts” turned off and corrected
• Areas of investigation Satellite window for SBD Ground network system
Iridium New ActionsAircraft Operator Data Gathering – Beginning• Working with select operators on programs to capture CMU log on FANS
Message creation time Media selection attempts and time Time sent to Iridium transceiver
• Iridium will provide SBD logs on the message timing Time Received Time Sent from GES to end provider
• ARINC/SITA logs on their message timing
Objective is to obtain documented data set for analysis on why certain airframe installations present poor Iridium performance in FIRs.
IRIDIUM CERTUSSM BROADBAND
Iridium Certus• Fully replaces the current constellation of
66 LEO satellite• Modernized ground earth stations with
new features and capabilities• Will include 6 in‐orbit spares and
9 ground spares• Scheduled deployment between Q3
2015 and end of 2017 • Seven launches using SpaceX Falcon 9
Heavy rockets and Dnepr launches• Significant advantages
– Significantly increased network capacity
– Much greater data speed capabilities• Fully backward compatible
Comprehensive ~$3 billion plan that supports our success for many years

Iridium Certus and SBD
10
• The Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) will be continued with Iridium Certus as a service
• Current devices (Block 1) will continue to use SBD for FANS with no change for seamless operation
• For Iridium NEXT devices, they will also use SBD for FANS• Therefore, no changes in FANs usage with Block 1 nor Iridium
Certus– Same frequency of operation– Same infrastructure at gateway and with SITA/ ARINC– Iridium NEXT are replacement satellites (additional waveforms) and
not “new”
