When I travel I always think the best restaurants are the ones in which the locals are eating. Equally, in fashion and design, the greatest endorsement a designer can give his or her collection is to wear it. By living with our creations we experience them as our clients do. This is not only a matter of brand loyalty, but also a question of learning what works and what does not – of understanding how we can improve what we do so that it delivers a great experience to the people we design for: our customers.

When it comes to Versace Home interiors, I can say with complete certainty that I am intimately ac-quainted with the collection. This is because from the very early days when my brother Gianni launched the concept, I have been its number one client. More recently, when I launched the Versace HomeInterior Design service, again I was its first client. My brother always said that Versace is not just adesign aesthetic, but also a way of life, and I have lived that life.
