What do you consider to be the greatest strength of the gifted program?31 responses

the teacher helps us all in the classroomcommunication has helped me a lot with my class mates and my teacher.Affective skills because when I am frustrated I can just breath and try again.creativite stuff Ilike it.Communication skills has helped me when I get frustratedIt is teaching me analogies to comunicatete better.It is making me more confident in giftedLerning how to use compters.The best thing is our projects in gifted.I feel like the greatest strength of this program is alot of everything like everything we do in here.We get to work with robtic things`.I like the teacher.Its the techer pay utinchinI like the computer programs.The teacher the is greatest strength.I think it is our teacher Mrs. Verweij is very helpful and does a lot to help all of the students in her classes.programming skills is the best because i learned about computersI think the strength is the robotics.I think the strength is the thinking skills.I love how we have so much tech we can learn with.It has helped me in all my classrooms.computer programming is one of the biggest strengths of the program because i believe it to be one of the greatest skills to learn in this world.

coding is the greatest stenght, because it helps me learn computer programing.The Creativity aspect is limitlessThe Creative aspect.The gifted programs offers multiple opportunities, and helps a student figure out what they want to do in life as an individual.I think the greatest strength of gifted is to be able to write grants because it helps me type and type in a formal manner.The greatest strength of this class if the different learning style.The greatest strength of the gifted program is that you have fun while learning and you get to have different things to do in the gifted classroom.I think gifted helps me with thinking skills.learning blomes taxonomy.Letting students interact with others.

noneNonNo,I don't have any concerns or suggestions for the classroom.you can put candy if you do good.you can put candy if you do good.

I have none.Nonenone.Nop no probles.I don`t have any issues.I think we should have recess.We should get more robotsI think there is nothing wrong with gifted .I do not have specific concerns, comments, or suggestions for the improvement of the gifted program.I can not find any flaws in the gifted program besides that we didn't get to go to sea-perch this year but that was due to there scheduling not the program or school.My concern is that I usually am behind in my notes when I go to gifted and sometimes I miss my test and I have to do make up work and all I want to do is finish all my work and get good grades on my assignments and also sometimes my class learns something I don't know and then I have to learn it by my self.we could have more time on lessons because sometimes we go to fast and I get confused.increase the amount of hours we go to gifted. it makes me make up so many progects. mrs.matheson , mrs.furr , and mrs. murphy are the main ones doing this.

I think we should have a bigger budget for our classroom.I think that there should be more robot exploration, ours is very limited. I am really interested in robots, also Mrs. Furr makes us complete all of the missed work, like the interactive notebooks work and the writing parts we missed, like graphic organizers and the rough drafts and i'm kind've fed up with it, its very tedious and then we are all one day behind, while the other students are writing there final copy, we are sitting there thinking of what to put in the graphic organizer...The gifted program needs to uses speaking, communication skills more often. Also, Mrs. Furr keeps making us do make up work, she makes us do interactive notebook, classwork, and if its too late to turn in i get a bad grade or a "F". Then I'm behind everyone.I believe that we should be allowed to have recess when it is snack day. It will give us time to eat the snack that we purchace.Some times Ms.Furr makes us do assignments other than quizes or tests after gifted like regular classwork and when the students tell her that we were in gifted she still makes us do the work.The only thing that I would like to change is that Mrs. Furr makes us make up everything that we miss that day of her class .Also, she says interactive notebook is due and we haven't even done that page. I am missing two pages in my book because she never lets us get the example book.If the work is not done she gives us marks and we have to walk for recess and we get a zero in the grade book.I think the gifted class room causes stress, keeping up with class work, making up tests, like all the 5th and 6th grade teachers are making us make up work. Like i understand we need to take up tests but having to make up something not for a grade but for something for sub work, it is very annoying having to make up sub work that isn't even a grade. Now we should have recess even though there isn't gonna work. I also think that we should be able to have a longer times to do class work than the regular due date in regular classes such as tests, class work that they take up for a grade because I had a bad grade on my progress report I had about six fifties on my report card and I got a d in my math class . So honestly I feel it necessary to have all these changes minus the recess, recess is optional but I think that will make kids stick with gifted.I want the stuff to be less stressful.The gifted program can let the main gifted teachers to have assistants. Also I have seen multiple gifted students take charge of groups when we're doing group projects and others leave for this reason, this concerns me because alot of the people that have left were doing really good in gifted and they are now missing out on the more challenging and fun stuff in gifted.
