“Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your home, your children like young olive plants around your table. Just so the man be blessed who fears the Lord.” –Psalm 128:3-4

Jim loved his wife, Rita, their 10 children, and attending the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. We like to think that on April 2, the day of Jim’s funeral, the Pirates played a close game with the Chicago Cubs and won it (4-3) just for him. It was the longest game in Pirates franchise history and went to 16 innings. Through the years, Grandpa Jim scored “homeruns” with their 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Here’s some family photos:

Grandbaby, Maeve, 1, sits on Jim’s lap in August 2013.
