FOREWORD
This Indian Standard was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards, after the draft finalized by the Transport Tractors and Trailers Sectional Committee had been approved by the Transport Engineering Division Council.
In reporting the result of a test or analysis made in accordance with this standard, if the final value, observed or calculated, is to be rounded off, it shall be done in accordance with IS 2 : 1960 ‘Rules for rounding off numerical values ( revised )‘.

1 SCOPE
This Standard specifies the mounting dimensions and sizes of fastener for mounting of ball bearing turn table in between the dolly and chassis of full trailer ( see Fig. 1 ).

3 REQULREMENTS
3.1 Bali Bearing Turn Table
The top and bottom flanges of the ball bearing turn table shall be drilled with 17 mm diameter, eight holes each as shown in Fig. 2.
3.2 Mounting
3.2.1 The ball bearing turn table shall be mount- ed on dolly by means of eight hex head bolts/ screw/nut Ml6 x 2 conforming to IS 1364 ( Parts 1 to 3 ) : 1983 with lock nut or nylon nut only.
3.2.2 The ball bearing turn table shall be mount- ed below chassis by means of eight hex and bolts/ screw/nut Ml6 x 2 conforming to IS 1364 ( Parts 1 to 3 ) : 1983 with lock nut or nylon nut only.
3.2.3 Machined washer, 17, conforming to IS 2016 : 1967 may be used alongwith taper/ square washer conforming to IS 5372 : 1975 or IS 5373 : 1969, if required.
3.3 Plates/flanges/webs to which the flanges of ball bearing turn table are to be bolted, should not be thinner than the flange thrckness of ball bearing turn table.
3.4 The longitudinal cross members and the struts of trailer chassis as well as dolly should be SO located that there is a clear access to the hard- ware to mount the ball bearing turn table.
