Is honesty always the best policy?

Even though nobody likes lies, everybody lies, which is a complex paradox that humanity is inserted. The strangest thing is that society pushes you to lie. If you don’t, you will face consequences such as social suicide. People want you to lie to be seen as a more sympathetic person, better than a selfish one.

Because the most “human” thing to do is to not hurt anybody feelings, you are compelled to tell a lie every time you face situations evolving other people emotions. Why would you make your girlfriend sad saying you hated her new haircut when she seems so happy with it? Her happiness is more important than the truth in this and in many different cases. If you are always being sincere, it is inevitable that you will end up been seen as unpleasant person whom only cares with its own feelings.

Of course, to tell a white lie it’s not immoral. The truth not only make some people sad, but even lost and hysterical. The truth, in some situations, is a weapon you can use to finish relationships or to destroy people stability. So, be careful when things comes up to honesty. Figure out what is the best way of dealing with these two sides of a fact.
