How much longer!? I dont know how much more I can take!Judging just by the number of provisionary updates (that are starting to look more and more like actual bulletins anyway) we see that we have been in Pandemic mode for over four (4) months! Where has the time gone!? What can we do to start up again!? Well, we never really stopped many things at our parish. We continued the daily Eucharistic Divine Liturgy—praying for all of our parishioners (and the whole world, of course). Thanks to Anthony and Curtis setting up the live-streaming all parishioners that had access to the internet, were able to join in every day! We were blessed with Sister Michaila who led the responses and prepared visual texts that everyone could follow from home. Holy Communion was available at least on Sundays for those that wanted to come after the Divine Liturgy. We held some funerals and a baptism. God bless our parish council members and other members who helped to keep things going by up keeping the parish and communicating as best as possible - by mail outs, website updates and telephoning the parishioners. Carlene kept the office running and volunteers were on top of things and they connected with other brave and kind volunteers. [Don’t even get us started about the roof repair and maintenance that has been going on!] Although most parishioners stayed away (because of health concerns, but also due to the initially very strict regulations), many joined online! And they also continued to support their parish. All this and more has been going on from the time the Pandemic was first declared (when it will be safe, we MUST have a grand get-together or two where we can enjoy each other’s company and share stories!). But, you know what?... All this activity still continues! And now things are loosening up a bit and more and more are starting to come back to church. One of the inadvertent joys of the Pandemic is when a face shows up in church that hasnt been seen in a long while. What a joy! Just to see that they are well and that we are all slowly getting back together again to give glory to our God and to share the journey of life again as a parish family. Yes, it has been some time and we all were wondering (well, and still wonder) when it will pass and what will it all lead to. However, we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Our Faith strengthens us and guides us. We have the Lord and the Lord has never left us! We can rejoice in that and remain just as faithful to Him and explore how we can and must still thrive as a parish - with or without the Pandemic! New Faith Exploration...There has been a growing interest in holding growth-in-faith gatherings for adults, teens and, of course, for children as well. So, were going to do it. Even with the Pandemic, we are allowed to gather if we are all cautious and respectful of each others wellbeing. Lets do thisgiven the present circumstances, lets have a get-together on Wednesday 5:00 PM at the Church (505 Watt) for adults that are seeking to refresh their Ukrainian Catholic and wider Catholic experience of prayer , understanding the basics of the Faith and what it can mean to be faithful to the Lord and His Church in this 21st century world and local society in which we live.

“Is it over yet!? How much longer!?

I don’t know how much more I can take!”

Judging just by the number of “provisionary updates” (that are starting to look more and more like actual bulletins anyway) we see that we have been in Pandemic mode for over four (4) months! Prayer of Venerable Andrew Sheptytsky (1865-

1944) for Good Priests Lord, O Lord, look down from heaven, survey and visit the vineyard which was planted by Your hand. May Your all-powerful hand be always on this people which You have loved. In every generation, Eternal God, until the end of the world, grant them holy bishops and priests, filled with Your Spirit — pastors and teachers of Your law, who would be able to keep the truth of Your holy incarnation without compromise and, with love, to teach and to guide this great people. Grant to Your clergy the grace to never fear any sacrifice, when it concerns Your glory and the good of this people. Set

the hearts of Your priests on fire with a zealous spirit for the salvation of souls. Open before their eyes the wisdom of Your revelation and grant them to hold in high esteem the holiness of the task to which you called them. Bless their work and their intentions. Protect them from every evil – especially mortal sin. And unite them by Your grace, so that in love they would be one – as are you, Father, with Your Son and the Son with You. Amen.

COME REST IN MY HOUSE: Reflections On Christ’s Companionship At The Conclusion of Our Earthly Journey By the time of this publication, Fr. Edward, the Author, had been a business owner, a parent, husband of over fifty years, and an ordained priest for twenty five years. This is a collection of some of the funeral homilies he shared with families grieving the loss of an elder family member, encouraging them to find hope, peace and joy despite their pain.

A book published by our own Father Edward Kwiatkowski. To order a copy go to Amazon.ca

Books are available for purchase from Holy Eucharist bookstore!
