Is the love of money the root of all
evil?
I was having a conversation with a friend on Facebook last night that was prompted by
my blog post yesterday; Stop Settling For Less. Basically, she is happy with just more
than enough. I am happy, and advocate, having way more than just enough. Fine.
Whatever. Horses for courses.
And this quote came up in our conversation.
The love of money is the root of all evil.
I couldn’t disagree more!
What a DISEMPOWERING quote.
Don’t love money too much or you will be classed next to evil.
Don’t aim for too much money, it’ll all go wrong for you if you do!
It propagates fear around money, and that’s wrong.
If anything, I would argue that POVERTY is at the root of all evil.
Poverty keeps people down. Poverty leads to lack of choice. Poverty leads to struggle. Poverty can be dangerous and it can affect health and wellbeing in so many
ways.
Contrast that with having money. That brings you….

It’s EMPOWERING and that can NEVER be evil. That’s positive!
People worry that if they have money they will become evil or greedy. Look, if you
are an ‘evil’ person to begin with, money won’t change that. If you are a ‘greedy’ person
(and can someone really be greedy when there is more than enough for all of us if we
want it and we choose to go and get it?! No.), then they are likely to stay that way. JUST
AS if someone is ‘good’, having more money won’t make them ‘bad’ all of a sudden.
Just like if someone is clever before they have money, having money won’t make them
stupid. Those kinda changes to our core values just don’t happen because someone
has a healthy bank account. That’s ridiculous!
It’s my mission to help people go out and live life on THEIR
TERMS and part of that is being empowered around money as
well.
It takes a HELL of a lot of COURAGE to step away from the ‘norm’ and strike out on
your own, to ditch the rules of most of society (and friends and family) and create that
life. I should know! And it serves NO ONE for you to stay stuck around money, have
negative thoughts around money, have a poverty mindset, or a scarcity point of
view. You need to put ALL your energy into creating the life that is right for you and
money, or the lack of it, can take up far too much of that energy.
That’s why I’ve created Make Money Your Bitch! I want to empower you around money.
I want to help you get out of lack and scarcity and FEAR around money, or not having
enough money. I want t show you how to deal with building your business and creating
the life you want, when the money isn’t flowing in and help you create MORE MONEY.
If you are not making the money you want in your business…then make money your
bitch.
If you are overwhelmed with fear and insecurity…then make money your bitch.
If you are (INTERVENTION!) thinking of giving it all up…then make money your bitch.
