Reporting and assessment Some of your child’s work has been assessed during the learning from home period. On their return to school, all students will receive additional assessment. You will receive your child’s semester 1 report before the end of August (Week 6, Term 3). This will be a simplified version of the report you would normally receive.

School activities Teachers will continue to follow the same school curriculum and KLA scope and sequences with the exception of some activities that can’t go ahead for now.

What students can’t do:

• School incursions and excursions including camps

• Inter-school activities (debating, inter-school sport)

• In-school activities requiring parent or other volunteers

• No school assemblies School cleaning and hygiene supplies Tregeagle PS has received additional cleaning in line with the AHPPC guidelines and advice from NSW Health. Target areas include high-touch areas and other hard surfaces, door handles, lockers, light switches and handrails in stairways and movement areas. There will also be additional cleaning of toilets and bubblers and topping up of supplies like soap. We have received supplies of soap, hand sanitiser, toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant wipes and personal protective equipment. The school is able to order more as needed. We would like to sincerely thank Robyn Nilon, our amazing school cleaner, for working tirelessly over the last months to keep our school clean. You are amazing!

Parents/Community on School grounds Parents and community members ARE NOT to enter school grounds, unless for essential reasons i.e. picking up sick child. Please contact the school office via phone or email.

Parent Pick up Arrangements - CHANGE BACK - Monday 25 May On Monday 25 May (next week), parent pick up arrangements will return to the hall side gate.

• Parents may park back on the grass near the hall.

• Parents - do not come inside the school gate.

• Keep a safe physical distance (1.5m) from other parents.

• Teachers will send your child over to you at the gate. NOTE: Put your child on the bus school if you can to limit adults around school.

Responding to COVID-19 cases There is a clear plan in place for schools to notify the NSW Health and the Department of Education if there is a suspected case of COVID-19. This includes temporarily closing schools where necessary followed by a strict protocol to ensure the school is safe to return to being operational.

Transport Our school bus service will continue to run as normal.

Drink bottles All students need to continue to bring their own labeled drink bottle to school each day, as bubblers are remaining closed.

Acknowledgements With so much evolution toward ‘Remote Learning’ in recent months it is imperative that the Tregeagle Team provide the following ‘thank you’ messages:

• To our parents and carers for the high level cooperation in a rapidly changing world. • To our incredible teachers who have modified and adapted practices at an instant to meet the

changing expectations of schools. • To our administration and school support staff who have changed their own work practices and

routines. • To our students who are showing a high level of resilience in a very fluid world. Students, in many

cases, are moving between learning environments, coping with changed ways of instructions and certainly missing the regular interactions with their friends and classmates.

Mrs Collins – Could students please return their library books as soon as possible. At this time we are not loaning books out, but we are revamping the library.
