The Remnant Will Trust In Yahweh

Isaiah 10:20 Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

Interpretive IssueIsaiah 10:21-23 A remnant will return, the

remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. For though your people, O Israel, may be like the sand of the sea, (only) a remnant within them will return; a destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness. For a complete destruction, one that is decreed, the Lord GOD of hosts will execute in the midst of the whole land.

 2 Timothy 2:11-13 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

God’s Remnant Should Not Fear

Isaiah 10:24-25 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did. (NET) For very soon my fury will subside, and my anger will be directed toward their destruction.”

God Remembers His Covenant

Isaiah 10:26-27 NKJV And the LORD of hosts will stir up a scourge for him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; as His rod was on the sea, so will He lift it up in the manner of Egypt. It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

God Remembers His CovenantPsalm 89:20-21 I have found David My

servant; With My holy oil I have anointed him, With whom My hand will be established; My arm also will strengthen him.

Isaiah 37:35 For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.

God Keeps A Remnant Genesis 45:7 God sent me before you to

preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.

Isaiah 37:31-32 The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem will go forth a remnant and out of Mount Zion survivors. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
