I.S.G. S.P.A. is organised like an engineering contractor except that we specialise in the design and manufacture of ‘customised’ drying and purification package units utilising skid‐mounted packages.

I.S.G. S.P.A. is organised to handle up to 10 projects at different stages of the project

cycle with values ranging from Euro 0.5 to 15 million each project.

Design

Piping Arrangement ‐ GA Drawings I.S.G. S.P.A. performs all skid general arrangement and piping layout design in‐house using Intergraph Microstation system. We ensure that all units meet client and international standards. Layouts reflect operator, maintenance and safety requirements.

Control System I.S.G. S.P.A. performs all control configuration and PLC programming so as to ensure that the system is completely compatible with the process so as to ensure no site commissioning / start‐up problems.

NATURAL GAS DEHYDRATION Drying and purification packages ‐ utilising molecular sieves, alumina’s, silica gel catalysts and adsorbents, TSA / PSA technology There are two basic types of adsorbent based systems: 1) Regenerable utilising either temperature and/or pressure to regenerate. Systems utilising primarily temperature for regeneration are generally for removing relatively low concentrations of impurity to very low concentrations. Systems utilising primarily pressure for regeneration are generally for bulk component separation but can also be designed to remove impurities to reasonably low levels. 2) Non‐regenerable systems using either physical / chemical adsorption or catalytic conversion. Using combinations of the above it is possible to remove multi‐impurities from a range of gases.

Products – Absorption Unit

GLYCOL DEHYDRATION UNIT The commonest method for natural gas dehydration is with glycol based solutions. TEG (triethylene glycol) is the standard choice for an adsorber based system but EG (ethylene glycol) is often used as a hydrate inhibitor for recovery of C3/C4 LPG. After free liquids removal by an inlet separator the wet natural gas enters the bottom of an absorber, which typically contains trays or packing to promote contact between the gas and liquid. In the absorber, gas is contacted with the lean glycol entering at the top, and most of the water is removed from the gas into the glycol. The dry gas exits the top of the absorber. The rich glycol is letdown in pressure to a flash tank to remove light hydrocarbons and then sent to the regenerator via a pre‐heater. The regenerator consists of a still and reboiler in which water is distilled and stripped from the glycol. For low dewpoint applications "stripping" gas is injected into the reboiler to improve the water removal. The overheads from the still are vented directly to the atmosphere. The lean glycol from the reboiler enters a surge tank. From there it is cooled and pumped back to the absorber.
