Holy Books• The Quran is the Holy Book of the Islamic
religion. It doesn’t teach about God but it’s a guide through life.
• The Quran emphasizes honesty, generosity, and social justice as well as set harsh penalties for crimes.

• Mullah: a Muslim man educated in Islamic theology and sacred law.
• Ayatollah: a high-ranking Shiite worthy of imitation in religious law and interpretation
