MissionThe vision is to improve the overall situation of Muslims in our city and to re-establish the awe, admiration and inspiration for Islam and Muslims.

We aim to realize this vision by having a vibrant, creative and open Islamic center with multiple and wide- ranging activities.

The I.U.G. /Islamische Ummah Gemeinschaft

The I.U.G. is a Berlin registered NGO a since 1981 • Members are a diverse mix of ethnic and national backgrounds •

Aim to spread the message of Islam in an appealing way, to • establish religious and social facilities for the Ummah, to establish educational facilities, to do activities and programs of charity targeting any destitute person in Germany and abroad

Activities include: teaching of Arabic and Islamic sciences, • organising and conducting seminars, lectures and workshops, worldwide networking of Muslim youths, inter-religious dialogues, social services to Muslims.

Why the need

for an Islamic

Centre ?

INTRODUCTIONBerlin is Germany’s capital with an stimated of about 500,000 Muslims. Despite several Islamic institutions in the city, there are still pertinent need of more facilities to serve the growing community.

The majority of Muslims in Germany belong to the lower income range, atthe bottom end of the social strata and enjoyed only basic education.

With more Muslim social help centres, hopefully it will help to alleviate the societal issues faced by Muslims.
