ISOC-JPの現状• ISOC-JPは，ISOC初のlocal chapter として成立，活動をしてきましたが，現在，「再活性化が必要な地域部会」というステータスになっております．

Rejuvenating the ISOC Japan Chapter “Form follows Function”

•What are the most important aspect of ISOC's work to be advanced in Japan? What are the local needs?

ISOC-JP rejuvenateに関する思い• 目的:

–インターネットガバナンスの階層構造上にある団体に対し，日本からのコントリビュートを高めたい．

• 手段：–そのような場所で活躍できる人材の増強

具体的な活動• インターネット関連組織活動を日本のコミュニティに広く知ってもらう– ISOC，ICANN,IETF，RIR 等が何をやっていて，どのように動いているか．

• 目的は，「人材」の増強

• 日本のインターネットに関連する状況などをISOC（＝世界）に広く伝えていく．

現在• BoFで興味を持った人のメイルアドレスを集めてメイルリストを作った

• メイルリスト上を使い、日本のISOCへ興味を持つ人のコミュニティにおいて今後の活動に関する方向性について議論し、合意点を探す事を開始

予定• ISOC-JPコミュニティ内で活動の方向性の合意–最長で２０１１年中くらいかかる可能性あり
