What is Macro Photography?Macro photography is a unique form of photography that involves photographing small objects to make them look life-sized or larger in the photo. The usual subjects include flowers and small insects, which we don’t normally get to see up close with the naked eye. Objective: Photograph small objects, small enough to fit in your hand.Zoom in close enough to show the colors, details and textures of your object.

Materials : ● 3 small objects (must be able to fit in your hand)● Your DSLR camera, and/or cellphone

What to do: 1. Grab your objects and take several unique, macro photos of them2. Upload your 3 best (1 of each object) in a new GOOGLE DRIVE

● Find substantial lighting: utilize light to help you portray the details in your photo.

● Check your settings : Try using a large aperture, as wide as your lens will go, in combination with a fast shutter speed. Also, be careful that your ISO isn’t too high resulting in a grainy photo.

Test out the “close up” setting on your camera or cell phone.

● Use Zoom : Because we are not using macro lenses, if you’re too close to your subject your camera will not be able to auto focus. You might try stepping back and using the zoom feature instead. You may also try switching to manual focus and use the focus ring on the lens.

● Crop in : Think about overall composition and fill the frame if necessary.

● Check your backgrounds: Make sure there isn’t anything distracting in the background of your photo.Try different angles, and shallow depth of field to help eliminate distractions.
