On Wednesday June 29th Year 5 had a very different day.
The Year 5 girls decided to have an all day talent show, they practised
all morning and performed in the afternoon. There were all different
kinds of acts like singing, dancing and playing musical instruments
such as the clarinet and the trumpet. They made up names for their
groups such as Jasmine Flowers, Glitter Girls, Rolling Cherries and
the Biebets! Some of the songs performed were Fame, Hair spray,
Rolling in the Deep, and Tik Tok by Keisha. They even had an
interval with refreshments of popcorn and drinks. All the acts were
videoed and will be made into a film for all of Year 5 to share. Many
thanks to Mrs Stewart and Miss Mason for doing their best to provide
some good costumes for the girls. (written by Jade Lee 5S)
The boys were privileged to experience an amazing trip to Charlton
football ground for the Boys Will Be … project. They had a speechfrom Gary Wilson and the highlight for many was an extraordinary
tour of the stadium. They also created animated movies using video
cameras and play dough which were a great success. The Tree of
Knowledge was mainly to encourage boys to work as a team to
achieve their goal. Gary’s goal for all of us was to achieve the full
potential for all our boys. He believed that BOYS ARE BRILLIANT.
(written by George Hills 5M)
This project will end with two more special days for Year 3 this week.

ChoirOn Saturday 25th July, Brampton took part in the Bird Collect Midsummer Medley at the Fairfield Halls
in Croydon. This was our third year of attendance at the concert, and we took 51 children, from theChoir, String Starz and representatives from our Year 4 African Drumming lessons. The day started bright
and early with rehearsals at 10 o'clock, and the concert got into full swing at 2pm. The Choir sang a va-riety of pieces including the magnificent "The Singing Game" with delegates from other Bexley Primary
School Choirs; String Starz played in the Bexley Massed Orchestra and the Year 4 African Drum-mers performed in the spectacular debut performance of "Rice Harvest" as part of the Wider Opportuni-
ties Scheme. A lot of time and effort was put into the event by all children, and special thanks go to MissHope, Mrs. Perks and Mrs. Stewart for all their hard work and dedication to the Choir and String Starz.Miss Hope would also like to extend her thanks to Miss Carter and Miss Cross who also accompanied thechildren to the event. Once again, our children performed brilliantly, and were complimented on their tal-ents and impecable behaviour. It is always a pleasure taking our children to extra-curricular events. Many thanks to the parents and families for supporting this event - we look forward to seeing you at the
Summer Fete on Friday at 3.30pm for those children in the Choir who want to perform again.

Governor News
The full Governing Body met last week for their termly meeting. Before hand they met with the teaching staff to review the work
undertaken this year in different subject areas. They also
approved the appointment of Mr Chris Vadukul as an associate
governor in order to ensure the governors reflect the ethnic
make up of our school. The governors approved the first two training days in September.
They received a Head teacher’s Report on the current work of the school and minutes from
the different sub committees held in the last term. Time was also spent on considering fu-

FOB News
Unfortunately the recent Quiz Night had to be cancelled due to lack of
numbers but we know that members of FOB have been working hard to
produce a successful Summer Fair this Friday. So we hope you will all come
along after school and support this event. Miss Hope and the school choir
will be performing their hit song from the recent Fairfield Hall concert to entertain you
while you spend your money! Any last minute donations for the bottle tombola and
