    Camp Manyung By Jorja Burrowes

Last week on Monday the 6th

, the grade 3s went on a bus to CampManyung. But before that, Dad and I started packing our belongings.

I felt really scared when I got to school. We both put our suitcases down

with the other. All of the grade 3s boarded the bus and drove to Mornington

Park we ate play lunch and played some games on the oval, like tag.

When we got to Camp Manyung, we went to our cabin then we had to go

    straight outside. We saw Alisha

    standing there. And she started

telling us about camp.We waited until our first activity.

We sat on the tables to talk before

    that.

It was almost 12.00 and thats

    when our first activity started.

Group 1s first activity was Low

Ropes and Group 2s was the giant swing, which I did.

If you go on the giant swing, I will go on and your dad will go on too, Miss

Withers said as she held out her hand to make a deal with me. I shook her

hand in fright. I waited for 2 more people to finish their swing and then it

was my go. I was really scared then the man pulled the ladder. Then he

pulled the rope to me and put on my harness. The students pulled the rope.

Stop! I yelled as I looked down at the ground. 3, 2, 1! The man and the

students said, as I pulled the skin colour rope. I fell really fast. I was scared

at first but then it was really fun and relaxing. I felt like Indiana Jones when Iwas swinging in the air. Unfortunately, my turn ended. Ms Walton said some

kids could have a second turn. She chose the kids that didnt go as high. My

second go was the same but I went a bit higher than the last time.

After lunch we went on a bike ride. After bike riding, we had afternoon tea

and played outside. After the showers we had dinner. We had roast for

dinner the first night. Then we did trivia. We had a paper costume challenge

in the teams. Then the people covered in paper did a catwalk. We went to

    bed exhausted.

CAMP MANYUNG Day 2 Tuesday by Jarvis SwabyIn the morning my room had duty to set the tables for breakfast, which was

cereal and toast with scrambled eggs. Then we played outside near the

basketball ring. After a while the activities began. My group had UHF radios

and the other group had using the walkie talkies with the challenge sheet.

The first group to finish was team Alpha. We went back to the Regatta

house were we had morning tea and little honey

cakes after a game of footy with friends my group

did archery. Emily hit a balloon and I got in the red

zone. Every time Paul hit the target we yelled

WOW! Next we went to the Regatta house and

had afternoon tea and time to practice our concert

act. Then we had dinner of chicken with vegetables.

Which was delicious WOW? Red Faces was

amazing .Out of all I think Amity, Charli, Emily, Scott

and Noah where the best group. Afterwards we all

had to put our pyjamas on, grab our pillows to use when we were watching

Diary of the Wimpy Kid, and ate lollies. As soon as the movie ended we did

our teeth and went into bed.
