Vision 2025 Tanzania would brace itself to attain creativity, innovativeness

and a high level of quality education in order to respond to development challenges and effectively compete regionally and internationally, cognizant of the reality that competitive leadership in the 21st century will hinge on the level and quality of education and knowledge.

• The education system must instill a science and technology culture from its lowest levels, giving a high standard of education to all children between the age of 6 to 15.

• Basic sciences and mathematics must be accorded significant importance in keeping with the demands of the modern technological age

• Science and technology education and awareness of its applications should permeate the whole society through continuous learning

• Creation of a well educated nation, equipped with the knowledge needed to competently and competitively function in the 21st Century
