FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
CAR PARK
To support our families getting children to and from school as safely and efficiently as possible,
we have been working with Kingborough Council and the School Association to address some
of the Car Park issues that the school is currently facing.
We are a busy school with a high number of families that need to access parking before and
after school. We also have a number of volunteers and visitors daily to support our students,
as well as family based initiatives such as Launching into Learning that require longer term
parking.
The entire Car Park space is owned by the school and has a 3 hour maximum parking
allocation.
To address concerns relating to drivers who are not associated with the school using this
space for extended periods (exceeding the 3 hour limit), the Kingborough Council will be
monitoring the area as of Monday 18 March and issuing infringement notices for any vehicle
that is not identified as a Kingston Primary community member or Adventure Patch employee.
For volunteers and visitors who will be visiting the site for more than 3 hours a permit can be
obtained from the office, when you sign in, to display in your car to avoid an infringement
notice.
As part of the Respectful Schools Volunteers and Visitors Policy, ratified in 2018, every person
that enters on to the school grounds (including the Car Park) is required to act in a manner
that is respectful and appropriate, especially as children are our core business.
You are also reminded for you and your child’s safety that it is essential that you use the
designated crossings when moving through the Car Park.
If you have any concerns, queries and questions regarding future actions relating to the Car
Park please contact me [email protected] or via phone 62295728.
