It is amazing to realize how much of our time is wasted on the sin of worry. The Bible instructs us “to be anxious for nothing.” Yet, many of us have mistaken that command to say that we should be anxious in everything. The Bible instructs us to think on things that are good, honest and true. Some of us constantly fret about things which may or may not be good, honest nor true. There are actually times when we stay awake worrying about things which never come to pass. We concern ourselves with things that are evil or we worry about things that have passed and cannot be changed. What possible good can it do for one to waste time going over hurts of the past. Just simply realize that those things are indeed past. Forgive what needs to be forgiven. Set right the things you can correct and move on to serve God with joy in your heart. Think of how much time is wasted in worrying about what others think of you. We sometimes think every conversation we see others having has us at its center. Someone once rightly said, “We would stop worrying about what others thought about us if we realized how little they do.” It is interesting that we worry about what other sinners think more that we concern ourselves with what the Lord has said in His Word. It is time for us to put trust in Jesus and His Word and leave the worries behind. Planning to trust,

Just watch and see what God can do.

Trust in His promises to you.

If there’s a mountain that won’t move,

Just watch and see what God can do.

Faith is easier when we can see things work out for us. Our biggest challenge we face on earth is not being able to see God working things in our lives. We’re told to rely on God and put our faith in Him, but it can be scary not knowing what may happen. The beauty of putting our faith in God is knowing all things will work out for His good. Bad things will still happen, but when times get rough we know where to turn for help. —Jake
