TRANSCRIPT
Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation was created in 2000 with the aim
of becoming an institution where all the activities related to the teaching,
investigation and promotion of the Flamenco singing, guitar playing and
dancing were put together, as well as promoting Spanish culture and
gastronomy as a World Cultural Heritage (UNESCO). The objectives are
set in the Foundation rules as it follows:
It is the aim of the Foundation to teach, spread,
disclose and promote Flamenco in every single way
through music, dance and folk songs of the Spanish
people, from its diverse gastronomy and culture.´
But our objectives go much further. We work in order to create a meeting
place where all the Flamenco disciplines are included. To provide a pla-
tform to encourage those starting Flamenco expressions and to spread
Flamenco among professionals and the general public. By offering qua-
lity training, combining global knowledge and specialization. By gene-
rating a discussion forum where tradition, new trends and perspectives
are tackled. By promoting a cultural exchange among students, teachers
and lectures in different parts of Spain, and around the world. Giving
to the entire community, unexposed to the rich heritage of Flamenco,
openning doors to a cultural expression of great impact.
