In exercise ofthe powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 ofthe Constitution oflndia th€ lresiddnihereby makes the following rules regulating th€ method of reouitment to the posl ofDeputy Manager (Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology) in the Ministry of Communications andInformation Technology, Department of Posts, namely:-

l. Short title and Commencement.- (l) These rules may be called the Department of posts [DeputyManager (Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology) Group 'B' postl, Recruitment Rules,20l2.(2) They shall come into force on the date oftheir publication in the official Cazette.

Nurnbe' cf post, classification, pay band and grade pay or pay scale.- The number of post, itsclassifi;rtion, pay band and grade pay or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns(2) to (4) ('fthe Scheduled, annexed to these rules.

Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit,qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) ro (13) ofthesaid Schedule.

Disqualifi cations.- No person,-

(a) who has enlered into or conlracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a maniage with any person,

shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:

provided that the Central Governrnent may, if satisfied that sltch marriage is permissible underthe personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there areother grounds for so doing, exempt any pcrson from the dperation ofthis rule.

Power to Relax.- Where the Central Govemment is ofthe opinion that it is necessary or expedient soto do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation rvith the UnionPublic Service Commission, relax any of the provision of these rules with respect to any class orcategory of persons.

Saving.- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessionsrequired to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Sched',iect Tribes, ex-servicemen and otherspecial categories of persons in accordance with the orde,'l i:sued by the Central Govemnlent fromtirne to time in this regard.

Information Technology, Department of Posts, namely:-

l. Short title and Commencement.- ( I ) These rules may be called the Department of Posts lTechnical

Supervisor (Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology) Group 'B' postl, Recruitment Rules, 2012.

(2) They shall come into force on the date oftheir publication in the official Gazette'

Number of posl, classification, pay band and grade pay or pay scale.- The number of post, its

classification, pay band and grade pay or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns

(2) to (4) ofthe Scheduled, annexed to these rules.

Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit,

qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) to ( l3) of the

said Schedule.

Disqualifi cations.- No person,-

(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or

(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,

shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:

provided that the Central Govemment may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under

the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the maniage and that there are

other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation ofthis rule.

Power to Relax.- Where the Central Government is ofthe opinion thal it is necessary or expedient so

to do, it may, by order, for r€,asons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union

Public Service Commission, relax any of the provision of these rules with respect to any class or

category of persons.

Saving.-Nothing in these Rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of ageJimit and other

concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled C.lstes, the Scheduled Tribes, ex-servicemen

and other special categories of persons in a"oordance with the orders issued by the Central

Covernment from time to time in this regard.
