Admission Requirements • Communication and numeracy skills at NQF level 4/Grade 12 or equivalent • Basic PC skills in Windows and Microsoft Office • Basic knowledge of computer components Certification You will be prepared to write the international external examinations. Students are required to pass the UniCollege internal exam before being allowed to write the external exams. These external exams must be written in the relevant academic year. On successful completion of the external CompTIA and ICDL examinations, and the relevant internal UniCollege exams, students will receive the following certifications: • ICDL (International Computer Driving License) • CompTIA A+ • CompTIA Network+ • UniCollege Short Programme Certificate in Security Specialist • UniCollege Short Programme Certificate in Linux Administrator • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Cloud Fundamentals • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Windows Server Administration Fundamentals Additional fees: Students have the option of writing the following additional external exams to get this international certification: CompTIA Linux+ (2 exams) and CompTIA Security+. The cost of these additional external exams is payable over and above the course fees.

Course material and examination costs All course material is included in the course fee. The cost of the following ICDL, CompTIA and Microsoft external exams are also included: ICDL (7 modular exams), CompTIA A+ (2 exams), CompTIA Network+, MTA 98-369 AND MTA 98-365. A rewrite fee is payable if you do not pass these external exams on the first attempt.
