For 122 years, Neighborhood House has identified issues and served the needs of our community. Our legacy continues because Neighborhood House fills a vital need for quality, affordable daycare and support services to children and adults based on their ability to pay. Each phase of our rich history has built upon prior success, and provides greater opportunity and hope for our families.

2015 was a transitional year for our organization, with the departure of Executive Director Jacob Brace whose passion for our clients will be missed. We look forward to the dedication and vision our new Executive Director, Jennifer Nuttall brings to the organization & every client who walks through our doors.

We were honored to receive an amazing donation of $2.6 M from a local Utah foundation which will advance the forward momentum of Neighborhood House. This gift is designated to building and facility improvements at Neighborhood House and offers us a tremendous opportunity to ensure our buildings continue to support quality programs that aid low-income families.

Our accredited Children’s Programs provided 44,391 days of care to 428 children in 2015 through preschool, afterschool, and full-day summer programs. Adult Day Services provided 8,858 days of care to 125 older and disabled adults with activities and compassionate care. Children and adults receive healthy meals while they are at Neighborhood House and we are proud to have served 96,245 meals last year.

Since 1894, Neighborhood House has exemplified four key ingredients of a successful non-profit: dedicated staff to serve; tireless volunteers to assist; visionary board members to guide; and generous donors to uplift.
