• The Italian school is divided in : primary school (5 years) , secondary school (3 years) and senior high school (5 years). The children begin to go to school when they are 5 or 6 years old and the guys graduate when they are 18 – 19 years old.

• The education is compulsory up to the age of 16 from September to first week of June for 4 – 6 hours all days of week (except for Sunday). The most important holidays during the year are: summer holidays , Christmas holidays (from 23rd December to 7th January) and during Easter period.

Our opinion:

• We think that in the Italian school's organization there are both positive and negative aspects.

• As regard the positive aspects, the Italian school is well organized during the weeks. In fact we go to school only in the morning (except for the extra projects) and in the afternoon we are free to divide our time combining our homework with our hobbies. Moreover there are so many types of schools that all guys can attend according to their interests.

• Sports is very important for us and the Italian school helps us, with many projects, to practice our favorite sports. This is also a way to socialize.
