Sr830-01-02-2009 It‘s All About Tassels 830 Stitch Recipe jsb Page 1 of 2 Created by Jill Braley Supplies— 830 machine with standard accessories Fabric and stabilizer as desired (Linen-blend fabric, Armo ® Weft fusible interfacing, OESD Lightweight Tear-Away stabilizer used) Variegated Embroidery thread (Mettler Poly Sheen Multi #9973) 75/11 Embroidery Needle Tassel Stitches used— Prepare and Create— 1. Stabilize the fabric selection. 2. Create the central Tassel stitch combination as outlined in the video clip using stitches #1116 and #1120. This part of the stitch recipe will be stitched first. 3. Thread the machine. 4. Attach Sideways Motion Foot #40C; stitch the central stitch recipe. 5. Attach Open Embroidery Foot #20C; frame the Tassel stitch combination with stitch #1119 at the top and stitch #1115 at the bottom. 6. For additional definition of these stitch patterns, change to a solid thread color and “outline” with the Triple Straight Stitch, #6. 7. To easily “outline” a stitch, REMEMBER the needle position can be adjusted to a comfortable setting for ease of stitching. (see PHOTO A on page 2) 8. After the stitching is complete, give the final 3-Dimensional feature to your Tassel stitch recipe by “releasing” the tassel stitches. Simply turn the fabric to the wrong side and carefully remove the bobbin thread from the stitch as shown. (see PHOTO B on page 2)

Tassel Stitches used—

Prepare and Create—
