Idaho Milk Products was born when three visionary American family dairies joined forces to elevate the world’s expectations for ultra fresh and consistent, high quality dairy ingredients. Because our owner dairies supply our raw milk, we not only control our cows’ dietary intake, we also control lactation scheduling within our combined herds so roughly the same number of cows are calving and lactating at all times. Other suppliers work with inconsistent raw milk that varies throughout the year in mineral content and the ratios of whey protein-to-casein protein. We provide the freshest, highest quality products available by operating the world’s most efficient farm-to-finished product dairy operation. IdaPro MPC, MPI, and IdaPro Cream can transition from raw milk at our milking parlors to final packaging in only twenty-four hours. Many other major suppliers can’t even start processing their raw milk supply before it’s over twenty-four hours old.

From our milking parlors through final product packaging, Idaho Milk Products ingredients are produced in a closed-loop, absolute temperature controlled environment. Our owner dairies, which provide us with a dedicated and uninterrupted supply of top quality raw milk, are within a forty-five minute drive of our high tech processing facility.

Every day, three million pounds of farm fresh raw milk is chilled immediately after collection and delivered to our plant by a dedicated fleet of tankers.

After the raw milk is transferred to our refrigerated raw milk silos, we immediately begin the separation process and nearly 250,000 pounds of Idaho Milk Products Cream is quickly pasteurized and shipped to our customers on the very day of milking.

The remaining raw milk undergoes immediate skim pasteurization and filtration before being processed as IdaPro MPC, MPI, or MPP.

Our high tech, Grade A-certified facility is directed by a single custom control software system that synchronizes and controls the actions of the plant as an integrated process from beginning to end.

Quality Assurance begins with Infrared and Near-infrared analytical equipment installed in the processing lines and control rooms to provide instant analysis and feedback to our operators. State of the art analytical equipment and traditional methodologies are also employed throughout processing to ensure the most stringent quality standards are met and kept.

We’re not just the only Grade A designated MPC and MPI processing plant on the planet, we are also the largest dedicated MPC/MPI facility in the world.

We process 40 million pounds (18 metric tons) of IdaPro MPC and MPI per year. We also annually produce over 50 million pounds (23 metric tons) of IdaPro MPP, and 90 million pounds (41 metric tons) of IdaPro Pasteurized Cream.

We also have the capability to produce and ship Liquid UF and UF/Diafiltered Milk within customer supplied specification ranges. Naturally, all of our products are rated OU Kosher, HALAL, EU certified, rBST-free, and non-GMO.

Concentrate and Isolate include casein and whey proteins in the same unaltered ratio as found in fresh milk. They offer excellent solubility and emulsifying capabilities and are characterized by a clean, light, milky flavor and aroma.

IdaPro MPC and MPI are used to add protein and nutritional and functional benefits to dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, ice cream, and ready to drink beverages for weight management, sports nutrition and adult nutrition.

To further ensure intact protein for optimal nutrition and functionality, we utilize a Low Heat production process. Our towering, five stories high MPC/MPI dryer was custom designed and built from top to bottom to yield a more consistent and higher quality product.

Independent studies have confirmed that IdaPro MPC’s and MPI’s provide valuable sensory and functional properties for food and beverage applications that competitive ingredients just can’t match.

An Independent Panel at North Carolina State University tested IdaPro MPC-80 and MPI-85 against eight competitive samples in a blind study. The panel found the IdaPro Products scored significantly higher than all other samples. They had the cleanest, freshest flavor and aroma, scored the lowest in lipid oxidation, and did not have any significant undesirable flavor components.1

In functional testing at California Polytechnic State University, IdaPro MPC-80 and MPI-85 scored high compared to competitive samples in important functional properties, including solubility,

suspension stability, emulsion stability,

and viscosity. IdaPro products also provide a

uniform particle size with better flowability than the tested competitive set.2
