I. General Series Information
1. The 2011 iCON Touring Car Championship (iTCC) series is defined as a series that will run five
events in the Live for Speed simulation software using restricted FXR cars.
II. NDR Sporting Code Exceptions
1. All conflicts inherent between this document and the NDR Sporting Code should rely on
this document.
2. NDR Sporting Code XI.2.a) Driving Conduct, Car-to-Car Contact
a) The touring car style of racing, which iTCC is intended to recreate, has car-to-car contact
as part of it's nature. For iTCC, Sporting Code rule XI.2.a) shall be interpreted as: “It is the
responsibility of all drivers to avoid intentional and repetitive physical contact between
cars.”
III. iTCC Car Restrictions
1. The following limitations are imposed on the FXO GTR for the 201 iTCC Championship:
a) All competing cars shall carry 32 percent of intake restriction
b) No car is to use R4 compound tyres at any time during any session.
2. Failure to carry the required restrictions will result in exclusion from that session.
IV. Skins and Name Format
1. The administration will provide compulsory elements to be worn on the car liveries for all
cars.
2. All drivers shall format their name by the following standard:
123 J. Doakes
Where the number is in white, and the driver name is First Initial. Last Name. The name may
be coloured. This rule is in agreement with NDR Sporting Code II.3.
V. Eligibility, Entry, Teams, Locked-In Drivers
1. To be eligible to compete in iTCC, a driver must complete a lap within 103% of a given
benchmark. This benchmark will be defined in the appropriate entry threads.
2. A driver wishing to enter the series will be required to apply via the sign-up thread
appropriate to the round and provide all required information.
3. There is no limit to the number of cars in a single team.
4. The Top 10 drivers in points are considered “Locked-In” to the following round. For Round 1,
this applies to any driver who returns who was in the top 10 of the final standings for the
previous season.
5. Newcomers to the series (e.g. Not even attempted a pre-qualifying) may be given a “New
Entrant Ballast” at administration discretion.
VI. Event Procedures
1. All drivers who are not locked in as defined in IV.4 above must take part in a thirty minute
duration “Reserve Shootout” held prior to qualifying.
a) All shootout sessions will be held concurrently, over separate servers. Each driver will be
notified which server they are assigned to prior to the event day. All servers will be
tracked together, and the combined list will be used to determine who will advance to
the main event.
b) The number of drivers advancing from the combined shootout results will be the result
of grid spaces available less the number of locked-in drivers in attendance.
c) Telepitting and drafting is permitted; bump drafting is not.
d) Drivers should not exit the pit lane with insufficient time in the session remaining to
complete their out lap.
2. There will be a 15-minute qualifying session held immediately prior to the first race of the
round.
a) Telepitting and drafting is permitted; bump drafting is not.
b) Drivers should not exit the pit lane with insufficient time in the session remaining to
complete their out lap.
3. There will be three equal-distance races scheduled for each round.
a) Race 1 grid is determined by Qualifying Results.
b) Race 2 grid is determined by Race 1 Results with retirements joining at the back in order
of laps completed.
c) Race 3 grid is reversed from between 6 and 10 inclusive, the rest of the field filed per Race
2 results with retirements joining at the back in order of laps completed. The reversal
number is determined based on the last digit of the Race 2 winner's time. The numbers 1
through 5 inclusive will have 5 added to get the number; 0 will equal 10; and 6-9 will be
that corresponding number.
d) Each race will start with a Standing Start.
e) There is to be no unnecessary chat in the lobby after the first car has been placed on the
grid, until all cars are in their rightful positions.
f ) The maximum number of starters is 31 except at South City where only 29 cars may start.
g) There will be no lag lap unless notified by the Race Director.
h) Chat is automatically closed once the first red light appears or when the Race Director
announces chat is closed.
i) LFS shall determine false starts and penalize drivers accordingly. If a driver is spectated,
they may rejoin from the pit lane once the race has started.
j) Drivers are to slow and complete an in lap (without overtaking anyone still not finished
the race) and park in a pit garage, while the top 3 drivers should park in the designated
podium area.
k) Chat will be opened when the Race Director announces the race is complete.
VII. Penalties
1. Penalties must be served within 3 laps (maximum of 3 crosses of start/finish line)
2. Administration may apply any penalty available per the NDR Sporting Code.
VIII. Safety Car
1. The Safety Car will be used if there is an incident on track from which the affected driver(s)
cannot self-recover back to the track or pits. The affected driver MUST NOT Shift + S or Shift
+ P. He must type $SC to alert admins to his situation.
a) Spectating from outside a pit garage will incur a 5 point penalty, 10 point penalty, and
then a series exclusion on the third offence.
2. When the message “SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED” appears on screen and the track indicator
button changed to “T: YELLOW”, all drivers are to cease racing for position, and gently show
down and be alert for any situation on track while proceeding around to catch the Safety
Car queue.
a) No overtaking may occur after the Safety Car is deployed and before the start/finish line
at a restart, except in the following cases:
1. If told to overtake the Safety Car by the administration;
2. Cars entering pit lane may overtake cars still on track after passing the first safety car
line;
3. Cars exiting pit lane may be overtaken by cars still on the track after before it crosses
the second safety car line;
4. When the safety car is returning to the pits it may be overtaken by cars on the track
once it has crossed the first safety car line;
5. If a car spins or otherwise cannot maintain safety car speed, they may be overtaken
and must rejoin the queue in the position in which they recover.
6. Illegal overtaking under Safety Car will result in a Drive-Through Penalty.
b) The first and second safety car lines are perpendicular to the start of the pit entry and
end of the pit exit blend lines respectively.
c) Pit lane remains open for entry at all times during the race unless the entry is blocked by
an incident. While the SC queue is passing the pit exit, the pit exit will close and all
drivers are to wait at the end of pit lane until the exit reopens. Exiting a closed pit exit
will result in an SG penalty.
d) Administration will wave around any cars between the leader and the Safety Car so the
leader is the first car to take the restart. Cars waved around must overtake the SC
carefully, and proceed with caution to catch the end of the queue, obeying rule VIII.2.a)
above.
3. The Safety Car will remain in operation until at least the majority of competing cars on the
circuit are lined up behind it, and the “SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP” signal will be before the
final sector of the lap.
a) Once the restart signal is given, the leader may go when he chooses to as long as he does
not
1. Overtake the Safety Car before it passes the first Safety Car Line
2. Slow the field down after beginning to accelerate for the restart, or except for
natural slowing points.
b) The Green flag will fly when the leader has started to accelerate on the start/finish
straight.
4. The first 2 laps under the safety car will not be counted as racing laps, and will be added on
to the total race distance.
5. If the race finishes under Safety Car, the order will be taken from the order at the time of
safety car deployment, adjusted for cars who spin, pit, or otherwise fall under Rule VIII.2.a)
IX. Red Flags
1. The Red Flag will be issued for server failure, or may be shown in the case of a crash
affecting the majority of the field. Drivers should cease driving at racing speeds and return
to the starting grid area (if possible) and wait for further instructions.
2. The number of laps completed by the leader will decide whether there will be a restart:
a) Less than 2 laps: Full Restart;
b) More than 2 laps but less than 75%: Race will be suspended, and restarted behind the
Safety Car, except for a server failure. Positions at the end of part one will be the grid for
part two;
c) More than 75%: The race director has the option to not restart the race – the results will
be taken from one lap previous to the red flag, minus any drivers who caused the red
flag.
X. Official Classification
1. Only cars which cover more than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner and
which cross the line under their own power will be classified. Disqualified cars are placed
behind all other cars and are not eligible for points.
2. Drivers who time out or lose connection to the server while racing may not rejoin the
currently running race, but will be permitted to rejoin for the next race (if any).
XI. Success Ballast
1. Ballast shall be given for the following positions:
a) 1st – 30 kg; 2nd – 25 kg; 3rd – 20 kg; 4th – 15 kg; 5th – 10 kg; 6th – 5 kg
2. After each race the ballast weights will be scrapped and recalculated, ballast will not be
accumulated.
3. Before each round, the top 6 in the championship will be given ballast, and shall carry the
ballast for qualifying and race 1 at the next round.
4. For races 2 and 3 at each round, the top 6 in the previous race shall carry ballast.
XII. Championship

XIII. Communication
1. Race administration will be available in a voice chat server during the course of the race.
