ITEC North East have celebrated over 35 years of educational excellence, delivering a portfolio of vocational apprenticeships and vocational training across an abundance of occupational sectors.

We are a not for profit inspiring independent training provider with registered charitable status. Rated good by OFSTED, we have been recognised as delivering good quality provision in apprenticeship training.

Established in Newton Aycliffe, we now operate from four training centres; Newton Aycliffe, Middlesbrough, Gateshead & Hartlepool.

Working with our employers and partners, our vision is to deliver to our learners outstanding training and personal support so that they are:

As we progress in a digital age, IT is becoming increasingly prevalent acrossall sectors. Our connectivity to the internet is what keeps our businesses ticking. Take that away and we’re lost.

An apprentice Network Engineer will be responsible for setting up, developing and maintaining computer networks within an organisation keeping your company connected.

A Network Engineer works internally as part of your organisation’s IT support team, ensuring your IT network is always running as smoothly as possible.

SoftwareDeveloper

A Software Developer apprentice can be the creative mind behind your computer programs. Developing the applications that allow people to complete specific tasks on a computer or another device.

These apprentices can also develop the underlying systems that run the devices or that control networks. Developers build and test code for a range of applications usually working from a front end design specification and applying logic and database layers.

Technician

An Infrastructure Technician apprentice holds a unique position that has evolved as the Internet has become mainstream.

An Infrastructure Technician can be responsible for designing, coordinating and maintaining theinfrastructure of your businesses IT network. The Infrastructure Technician can also provide support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs. Setting users up and supporting them with identifyingand resolving issues to maintain the organisations productivity.

A Team Leader / Supervisor apprenticeship is a great way for you to upskill a current member of staff, to prepare them for a management role within your business.
