Reflections on the Board of Studies amendment process in 2014/15

A large number of amendments with SITS implications were received after the deadlines of May/June (depending on the registration date of the programme). This meant that a very high number of amendments had to be reviewed within a very short space of time to enable the Student Systems Team to make all the required changes in SITS before online registration opened. Board of studies amendments often had to be passed back to the School for issues to be resolved such as incomplete information. It is hoped that the development of a new web form will alleviate some of these types of issues. To ease processing of Board of Studies amendments at this time of year in future, Schools are asked to schedule PARC meetings submit their amendments as far before the deadline as possible.
