Childhood

My name is Stefana Arbanas. My family and friends call

me Stefi. Im in the 6thgrade at Vasile Alecsandri National

College and today I want to tell you a story.

here was a girl who had more toys than any other

child. She s!o"e with them e#ery day$

touched her with the stic".

he fair doll let her head down and didnt answer. he

toys in the room started to shi#er.

%)oure ne*t+ little bear, ell me what you ha#e learnt

today in "indergarten(+ said the child in a threatening #oice+

he bear growled in his goiter and ste!!ed bac".

%&hat about you+ -reta+ my fa#ourite doll' If you dont

answer me+ today Ill cut your hair+( screamed the child at a

tall doll with long hair and blue eyes. %)oure !unished,(

he fi#eyearold child too" the bear and !ut it in the

corner. hen she too" the scissors and began to cut her

fa#ourite dolls hair.

%So today no one answers me'( said the child and mo#ed

the stic" o#er the dolls threatening them.

he dolls all gathered in a circle. Along came the bear+

too.

%&ell+ Im afraid of her(+ the bear began to cry. %And

she will twist my nec" again,(

%And Im bald because of her+ what loo!s I had and how

ugly Im now+( whined -reta.

%&e must get out of here(+ said the fair doll.

what ha!!ened to him. No tail+ no !aws+ headless1 /r

without hair+ 2ust as -reta. /r the wooden don"ey with no

legs lying on the dresser.(

%)es+ yes,( all the dolls a!!ro#ed in a chorus.%So+ where shall we go'( as"ed the bear cho"ing bac"

9arbies eyes had been !ulled out more than a year ago+

one day when the e#il child got angry.

&ooden toys+ dolls+ teddy bears+ cars+ they all gathered and

decided to lea#e. hey im!ro#ised a ro!e and descended

:uic"ly out the window.

he e#il child entered the room. She had a shoc". he room

was em!ty. he toys nowhere.

%My tooooyssssss, he girl !ulled her hair+ stom!ed her feetand burst into tears.

3ownstairs the !oor child heard a "noc" on the window. 7e

saw all the toys and dolls who smiled at him.

%So many toys,( the !oor child ho!!ed. 7e o!ened the

window and embraced them all ... hel!ing them to find their

dream home. A close friendshi! established among them.
