DESCRIPTION

A monkey with a keyboard can source talent on LinkedIn, but what comes next? In this new world of social, recruitment is now more about conversation and engagement and less about searching and broadcasting. So, how can recruiters start to seduce candidates the same way Amazon and Zappos do? In this session Derek will demonstrate how anyone can attract and recruit like a sexy top 100 company by creating win-win engagement between candidates and recruiters and using tactics that align with the candidate’s value proposition. Delegates will learn how to interact with candidates across a diverse range of interactive channels, build rich conversations and foster strong emotional connection with an employer brand to ensure long-term talent acquisition success.

Making the 1st connection how will they remember you is in the way you approach them 6. Its Not About You, its About the Candidate:Recruiters fill up my LinkedIn inbox, my email, and my phone voice mail trying to fill a position without knowing anything about me or even speaking to me.Don't misunderstand this to mean I don't like recruiters or don't use them, because I have in the past and may in the future. They are necessary to turn to when I am ready to make a change because the few I know really well and trust have their finger on the pulse of the current job market for our industry 7. Outreach 8. How did you find them?Referral - Warm callSubmitted themselves - warm callDatabase - semi warm callFound them another way - Cold callWas the candidate coming to you or are you going after them? I dont believe it matters. Many candidates at this time are applying to multiple roles and when you warm/cold call someone it can be just the same.Know why you are calling.Referrals, let them know from the get go they were referred; it is an immediate ice breaker.Next, tell them why you are calling then LISTEN TO THEM!!! I feel that we sometimes over talk or over question someone. 9.
