1. Typed examples pasted on construction paper
2. Each example must have the title of the poem, the author of the poem, the stanza of the example, the example color-coded, a definition of the term in a complete sentence, and an explanation of the nuance of the term.

Instructions1. Peruse library books for poems that contain examples of figurative
language.2. Define the figure of speech in a complete sentence at the top of the
page.3. Copy the entire stanza of the poem. If the poem is all one stanza,
see your teacher for instructions as to how many lines to copy. *Be sure to include the title and author on your paper. If no author
is given, simply write – anonymous at the end of the stanza. 4. Shade (according to the color key) the example of figurative
language. *Remember any additional figures of speech found in the stanza
should be shaded also. 5. Illustrate your stanza using appropriate pictures. You may use
original art work or clip art from the computer if you wish.
