All Trailers In Camps Must Be Licensed-Quinn

Out of 122,600 trailers in traii T Camps in Los Angeles County1,

from 55 to 60 per cent are unit- censed by tho Motor Vehicle Dc> partmrnt, and steps are being taken now to require that all vehicles, whether roadworthy or not, be licensed, according tc County Assessor John R. Quinn

Unlicensed coaches assessed by the County will bo a lien -against the ,1-eal estate upon which the coaches arc located, he said.

It is provided in the Health and Safety Code that all such trailer coaches shall carry a cur rent yearly license, Quinn said.

Inasmuch as the license fees so collected ate distributed to the cities and counties with tho ex ception of the cost of collection by the Motor Vehicle Depart ment, this represents a sharp loss of revenue to tho various cities and the county itself, Assessor* Quinn continued.

Quinn stated, "We have ad vised tho California Motor Court & Trailer Park Owners' Associa- t ion that unless these trailer* coaches take out licenses with the Motor Vehicle Department, which are In lieu of all local taxos, we will proceed to assess* all such unlicensed motor1 coaches."

In the event that these unll-nsed motor coaches are>ssed it will be mad.
