TOYOTA VISIT, Bangalore

Yes the wait is over, WE made it to Bangalore!From ITM Business School, Chennai with the support of Purple squirrel we had an amazing industrial visit journey to Bangalore. The Finance specialization students were taken to Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd (TKMPL), situated in outskirts of Bangalore at Bidadi industrial estate, Karnataka. It is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan and ranks 4th in the manufacture and sales of cars in India. It was one of the best experiences ever for us being part such a massive manufacturing company with integrity and core values.Mr. Jitendra was our Company guide, who walked us through the company profile, Products, Core values,

Opportunities and the complete overview of Toyota Plant through audio-visual presentation.

“Continuous Improvement” and “Value for People” were the two-core value system they believe in and keeps them bounded with success and growth.

We were introduced to lots of Japanese techniques such as “Kaizen”, “Jidoka”, Just In Time (JIT) system and Lean manufacturing philosophy with the goal of Building in quality.We were guided with all Safety measures like Helmet, remote-talkies, and safety lines. Hence we were asked to be in pairs and walk within in Safety lines across the plant where we saw the Assembly line of Toyota Etios, Corolla and Camry. From Paint shop to body shop to Assembly line to Inspection of final Cars.

As finance students, we got an opportunity to understand a point that, By setting our basic foundation firm and with strong core value system an organization will grow higher and being success is very much pragmatic.

Looking forward to implement what we have learnt in upcoming days in our career and life too.
