Feast of the Most Holy Eucharist

Prokimen, tone 4: I will feed them with the best of wheat, and with honey from the rock I will fill them.

Verse: Sing joyfully to God our strength.

Epistle: A reading from the Epistle of the holy Apostle Paul to the Corinthians (Cor. 11: 23 - 32)

Brothers and Sisters: I received from the Lord what I handed on to you, namely, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread, and after he had given thanks, broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper, he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." Every time, then, you eat this bread and drink this cup; you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes! This means that whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily sins against the body and blood of the Lord. A man should examine himself first; only then should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup. He who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks a judgment on himself. That is why many among you are sick and infirm, and why so many are dying. If we were to examine ourselves, we would not be falling under judgment in this way; but since it is the Lord who judges us, he chastens us to keep us from being condemned with the rest of the world.

Gospel: John 6: 48 - 54

Instead of 'Indeed it is fitting': My soul, extol the Lord, who gave his flesh as mystical food. My soul, extol Christ our God, who gave his flesh for man's salvation. You are all desire. You are all delight, word of God, son of the Virgin, Lord, the God of gods; you are the holiest of the holy. For this we extol you with her who bore you.

Communion Hymn: "Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him, said the Lord." Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

First antiphon: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. In verdant pastures he gives me repose.

Браття і сестри! Що я прийняв від Господа, те й

спомин." Так само й чашу по вечері, кажучи: "Ця

чаша - Новий Завіт у моїй крові. Робіть це кожний раз, коли будете пити на мій спомин." Бо кожного

разу, як їсте хліб цей і п'єте цю чашу, звіщаєте смерть

Господню, аж доки він не прийде. Тому, хто буде

їсти хліб або пити чашу Господню недостойно, буде винний за тіло і кров Господню. Хай, отже, кожний

випробує себе самого і тоді їсть цей хліб і п'є цю

чашу. Бо той, хто їсть і п'є, не розрізняючи

Господнього тіла, суд собі їсть і п'є. Ось чому у вас багато недужих та хворих, а чимало й умирають.

Якби ми самі себе осуджували, то нас би не судили.

Коли ж Господь нас судить, він нас тим поправляє,

щоб не були ми засуджені зо світом.

Ukraine-Kyiv Pavilion 2019 is recruiting for Folklorama 2019 effec-tive June 1, 2019. This year, Ukraine-Kyiv Pavilion will operate during the second week, August 11 to August 17, 2019, at Maples Collegiate, 1330 Jefferson Avenue.

Pavilion set up will take place from August 6th to August 9th. Pavilion take down will take place on Monday, August 19.
