These three teadiers, with the assistance of Mr. Sheppard's two history C classes, wrote and presented the song to the school last week. The tune is taken from "Palisades, ' N. Y. N.'s alma mater. It is a very impressive song, and will be sung at all basketball games. Last Friday in assembly an old tradition of M. H. S. was revived and taken up again in M. C. Mr. Bley and Mr. Sheppard lea us in the songs, and Doris Myers played the piano. Mr. Sheppard and his cheer leaders have fashioned a new cheer titled "La Conga." Those of you have seen it, will agree it is "smooth." It has been taken from the new dance La Conga, and the girls really get into the "swing" of it This Friday will be the last day of school in 1940. There will be Christmas parties in most of the homerooms after the assembly is presented by the grades. There will be gifts exchanged, games played, and food eaten. Many of you saw the Christmas play Tuesday nigjit, and will agree that Mrs. Lonsdale and her help- ers, and the cast deserve all the credit and congratulations that anyone can give them. The play, "Why the Chimes RanfL" is a traditional play in M. C. S. It is to be present^ every two years while the school is in existence. Have all of you seen the star on the front of the building?
