The Waukegan News-Sun (Ill.) ofMarch 14, 1949, had this to say about theBranham healing campaign that was heldin that vicinity:

"During the three days Rev. Branhamhas preached scores have claimed to havebeen healed. Every case of crossed eyeswhich were prayed for was straightenedbefore prayer ceased; many cripples andbadly twisted bodies were straightened anddeaf people were able to hear.

Famous Evangelist} F. F. Bosworth} Tells Story of

The Amazing Ministry of ~f7illiam Branham.

GIFTS OF HEALING PL US

it will stop his wristwatch instantly. Thisfeels to Brother Branham like taking holdof a live wire with too much electric current in it. When the oppressing spirit iscast out in Jesus' Name, you can seeBrollier Branham's red and swollen handreturn to its normal condition. If the affliction is not a germ disease, then Godalways reveals the affliction to BrotherBranham by the Spirit. This first signusually raises the faith of the individualto the healing level; but if not, the secondsign does.

A SeerThe second sign: The Angel told him

that the anointing would cause him to seeand enable him to tell the suffering manyof the events of their lives from llieir childhood down to the present time. He eventells some their thoughts while they arecoming to the platform or before theycame to the meeting. I heard him say recently to a mother bringing her little girl,"Lady, your child was born deaf anddumb; and as soon as you discovered shecould not hear, you took her to the doctor," and then he told the mother exactlywhat the doctor said. The mother said,"that is exactly right." The great audiencehears all this over the public address system. Brother Branham actually sees itenacted and pushing the microphone awayso the audience won't hear it, he tells thepatient any unconfessed andunforsakensins in their lives which must be given upbefore the gift will operate for their deliverance. As -soon as such persons acknowledge and promise to forsake the sinor sins thus revealed, their healing oftencomes in a moment before Brother Branham has time to pray. These statements bythe Angel are verified in the Branhammeetings nightly. before the eyes of thousands.

Thus the great audiences witness nightlyover and over again three distinct types ofmiracles. The first two do not heal the sufferers, but only serve as signs to raise thefaith of the afflicted to the level where the"gift of healing operates for their deliverance." Of corurse, these two miraculoussigns are possible only while the anointingof the Holy Spirit is upon Brother Branham for this purpose.

This is exactly what God has done forBrother Branham. He does not begin topray for the healing of the afflicted inbody in the healing line each night, untilGod anoint-s .him for the operation of thegift, and until he is conscious of the presence of the Angel with him on the platform. Without this consciousness, he seemsto be perfectly helpless.

Two Signs Given

Now notice, that God not only sent anAngel to be with Moses, He also gave himtwo perfect miracles as signs and proofsto the people that God had appeared tohim and commissioned him, under divineguidance, to be their deliverer (Exod. 4:131). The first sign was that of Moses' rodbecoming a serpent, and the second signwas that of putting his hand in his bosomand having it become "as leprous as snow,"etc. God said to Moses, "It shall come topass, if they will not believe thee, neitherhearken to the voice of the first sign, theywill believe the voice of the latter sign"(Exod. 4:8). In the last three verses of thischapter we read that when these two signswere repeated "in the sight of the people, the people believed ... and they bowedtheir heads and worshipped."

Just so, in addition to sending an Angelto be with and to prosper Brother Branham, He has also given him two perfectlymiraculous signs which have served toraise the faith of thousands 0'£ the humanlvincurable to the level where the "Gift ofHealing" operates.

Supernatural niagnosisThe first sign: When the Angel appear

ed to Brother Branham, he told him howhe would be able to detect and diagnoseall diseases and afflictions; that when thegift was operating, by taking the righthand of the patient he' would feel variousphysical vibrations or pulsations whichwould indicate to him the various diseasesfrom which each patient was suffering.Germ diseases, which indicate the presenceand working of an "oppressing" (Acts 10:38) spirit of affliction can be distinctlyfelt.

When the afflicting spirit comes intocontact with the gift it sets up such a physical commotion that it becomes visible onBrother Branham's hand, and so real that

FOR more than thirty years during greatevangelistic campaigns, I have over-worked,praying for the siek and afflicted. Duringfourteen years of this time, we conductedthe National Radio Revival during whichtime we received about a quarter of a million letters, most of them containingprayer requests from sick and sufferingpeople who could not have recovere'dwithout the direct action of the Holy Spiritin response to the "prayer of faith." Wehave received multiplied thousands of unsolicited testimonies from those who havebeen miraculously healed of every bodilyaffliction I know anything about, includingleprosy. To God be all the glory becausethese results are impossible to anyone butHim. As a result of these miracles, manythousands have been joyfully converted, whom we would have missed had we not

preached the healing part of the Gospelon~e a week in all our evangelistic campaIgns.

Because this healing ministry has required labor beyond human strength, wehave prayed, oh so earnestly for God toraise up more laborers to help in this sogreatly neglected phase of ministry. Andduring the past two years I have oftenwept for joy over God's recent gift to theChurch of our beloved brother Wm. Branham with his marvelous "Gifts of Healing." This is a case of God doing "exceedingly abundantly above all that weask or think" (Eph. 3:20), for I have neverseen or read of anything to equal the healing ministry of William Branham.

An Angel AppearsOn May 7, 1946, an angel who had

spoken to Bro. Branham in audible voice atintervals from his childhood down to thepresent time, finally appeared to him and, among other things, told him that Christ'sComing was near at hand, and the Heavenly Messenger said: "I AM SENT FROMTHE PRESENCE OF ALMIGHTY GODTO TELL YOU ... THAT GOD HASSENT YOU TO TAKE A GIFT OF HEALING TO THE PEOPLES OF THEWORLD."

On Page 1291 of the Scofield Bible, Dr.C. I. Scofield, D.D., in his footnote onAngels says: "Though angels are spirits(Psa. 104:4.; Heb. 1:14), power is giventhem to- become visible in the semblance ofhuman form (Gen. 19:1 and many otherScriptures in both the Old and New Testaments). In Exod. 23 :20, God said toMoses: 'Behold I send an Angel beforethee, to keep thee in the way and to bringthee into the place I have prepared.' Andin Gen. 24 :40 we read, 'The Lord ... willsend His Angel with thee, and prosper thyway'."

high, He led captivity captive, and gavegifts unto men." The news of this divinegift to the Church, in three short years hastraveled around the world, and many ur·gent calls are coming from foreign landsand from missionary stations across theseas. Many of these have recently comefrom various sections in Africa. Some suf·ferers have been flown over the watersfrom other countries to the United Statesto be healed. When Brother Branham visits mission fields I believe th(;re will be thegreatest spiritual awakening the Churchhas witnessed since the first century.

Before closing, I feel that I must say tothose who read these lines, and are unableto attend a Branham meeting, that you canbe healed, too. Thousands have been miraculously healed through their ownprayer. God desires your healing morethan it is possible for you to desire it.Jesus died to make it possible. Calvarymakes everything promised legally yourpersonal property. "Every whit whole" isGod's will proved and demonstrated tomultitudes.

Our healing literature together with the"Prayer of Faith" has brought healing tomany thousands. A continuous stream ofunsolicited testimonies are still coming tous from our radio friends and their acquaintances. My book entitled "Christ TheHealer," now in its seventh edition .(250pages), contains and clearly explains theBible truths which have set multitudes freefrom all manner of humanly incurable bodily afflictions when there was no one present with the gift of healing, not even anelder to pra.y "The Prayer of Faith."

My booklet entitled "The Christian Confession," which shows what our affirmations should be for obtaining all redemptive blessings, is working wonders. Itstruths practiced will bring about the fulfillment of God's promises to heal or to doanything else He has promised in the Bible.

Camden, Ark., Meeting. Photographer called attention to halo of lightabout Brother Branham's head. Many people in the congregation saw thelight before the picture was taken, as he stood in prayer at the pulpit. Toget the significance of this, reader must notice spacing of lights. BrotherBranham is NOT standing between photographer and a light.

Sinners Surrender in Mass

And the best of all, sinners are thusbrought under conviction for sin andwant to be saved. In Rom. 15:18, 19, Paulspeaks of making "the Gentiles obedient,by word and deed, through mighty signsand wonders, by the power of the Spiritof God ... from Jerusalem, and roundabout unto Illyricum." I have seen asmany as two thousand sinners in a singleBranham service spring to their feet intears to give their heart to God." No wonder Jesus said, "Into whatsoever city yeenter-heal the sick that are therein."

Invitations From Across the SeaQuoting Psa. 68:18, the Apostle Paul

said in Eph. 4 :8, "When He ascended on

forward, their faith began to pull on thehealing virtue in the gift, and the healingdemonstration. was beyond anything yetwitnessed in a Branham meeting. While ontheir way forward, Brother Branham pointed rapidly to one after another saying,"Christ has healed you." The people threwtheir prayer cards into the air, threw downtheir crutches and those who could notstand or walk sprang to their feet, someof them jumping and praising God for joy.The demonstration was beyond description. One boy in a chair who could not stand orwalk, I saw spring to his feet praising God.A few minutes later, I motioned to him andasked the crowd to make wav and let himthrough to the platform. He 'walked to themicrophone and fairly preached to theweeping audience. The gift operated formass healing just as it had already donein the healing line where they were healedone at a time. The wife of the pastor ofthe Church of The Open Door phoned methe next morning that several members oftheir church were healed in this mass healing service the hight before. From now on,all who come to the meetings will havethe opportunity of being prayed for. Ibelieve that this procedure will make theHouston meeting (January 10th throughthe 27th) the greatest healing demonstrhtion the Church has seen for nineteen centuries.

(Continued from Page B)More Than "Gifts of Healing"

No doubt, a few Christians here and there, during the Church Age, and some at the present timehave been endowed with the "Gift of Healing"which is listed among the nine spiritual gifts in the12th Chapter of I Corinthians, each of which is defined as "The manifestation of the Spirit" (I Cor.12:7-11). There should be laymen in every churchthus endowed.

But Brother Branham is a channel for more thanthe mere gift of healing; he is also a Seer as were theOld Testament Prophets. He sees events before theytake place. I asked him, "what do you mean? Howdo you see them?" He replied, "j ust as I see you:only that I know it is a vision." Just as clearly asone sees material things around them, Brother Branham, while in prayer during the day, seeSin vision some of the principal miracles before they take place that night. He seessome carried in on ambulance cots, or sitting in wheel chairs, and can describe howthey look and how they are dressed, etc. While being shown these miracles in advance, he usually becomes, for the time, unconscious of things going on aroundhim. Not once during the more than threeyears since receiving the gift have theserevelations failed to produce perfectmiracles exactly as he had already seenthem in visions. At these times he cansay with absolute certainty, "thus saith theLord," and he is never wrong. He told melast week that he simply acts out what hehas already seen himself doing in thevision. The success of this phase of hisministry is exactly 100 per cent.

Mass HealingJust as an altar-call or invitation to sin

ners follows an evangelistic sermon, so after the supernatural diagnosing and healing of those in the healing line, the invitation is now being given to those in theaudience who are prepared to receive healing to come or be carried forward to behealed or saved physically.

The healing of one at a time on the platform is only preliminary to the main healing service. It is only an object lessonsermon, so to speak, to all in the audiencewho need the benefits of the healing partof the gospel.

Just as a hundred sinners may respondto the invitation of an evangelist and experience the still greater miracle of the newbirth in mass, so it was amazingly demonstrated a few days ago in the Louisvillemeeting that the sick can be healed in massby the gift of healing. Brother Branhamventured on this procedure there, invitingthose on cots, those in wheel chairs, andthe crippled to be brought forward first, and then those who could walk on theircrutches and those suffering with cancer and other diseases to come towardthe front and stand behind the stretchersand wheel chairs. As they began to surge
