You Made Us Love YouYou, our residents, give us countless reasons to appreciate you, and here are just a few:• Paying your rent on time and observing community policies.• Being courteous by keeping the volume on stereos and televisions at a level that only
you will hear.• Parking vehicles, when you have more than one, in spaces that are farther away from
the entrance to the building.• Picking up litter around your home, even if you didn’t put it there.• Promptly removing your laundry from the machines.• Offering a friendly greeting and smile to your neighbors each time you see them.• Keeping trash in its proper place, not outside your door.• Driving through the community slowly and carefully.• Taking time to get to know your neighbors, opening up the communication lines
should conflicts arise.
At Your ServiceA friendly welcome to all our new residents! We are glad you chose us as your new home. To all residents, if there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact the office. Remember that all service requests must be handled through the office. Please do not stop and ask a maintenance person to correct a problem in your home. Our team is committed to helping you, but they are usually busy while on property and may forget to make note of your concern. The most efficient way to handle a service request is to contact the office.
Watch Your SpeedMake sure you’re following the posted speed limit throughout our community. Let’s make sure we all stay safe as we drive. Please make sure your guests are aware as well.
Water, Water EverywhereIn the rare case of a plumbing emergency, it is helpful to know where the water cut-off valves are located. The cut-offs for the commode extend from the wall under the tank. You will find the cut-offs for your sinks, both kitchen and bathroom, under the sink, usually inside the cabinets. If you ever have an emergency and water is flowing everywhere, cut off the water supply if possible, then call in a service request. Cutting off the water as soon as possible will cut down on damage to your home and its contents.
Toasty InsideDuring these cold winter months, you may be tempted to get warm quickly by using an electric heater. Use caution! Don’t place your heater near combustible materials, never plug the heater around water, and never use while sleeping. If you feel your thermostat is not working up to its potential, give us a call. We’ll get you toasty in no time!
Dishwasher Care You can improve the efficiency of your dishwasher and save energy by following these tips: • Run the washer without the heated dry setting. Dishes can air dry without the
use of heated air, saving the energy that would otherwise be required for this purpose.
• Run full loads only. Running only a half a load will use the same amount of energy and water as a full load. It is wasteful to run a dishwasher that is not full.
• Load dishes correctly to allow for proper water circulation.• Use only dishwasher detergent in recommended amounts.
Valentine TraditionsEach year on February 14 we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Cards are sent to friends and sweethearts, presents are given to show our love, and flower shops sell more flowers on this day than almost any other day of the year.
The symbols that you see on cards and gifts during this time of the year have been around for centuries. Red hearts are used most often and have stood for love since ancient times. Ribbons are taken from the days when ladies gave a ribbon to their favorite knight in shining armor before he went into battle. You find lace decorating cards and boxes of candy. Lace is a Latin word that means “to catch,” so lace was supposed to catch the heart of a loved one. And Cupid, the Roman god of love, uses his bow and arrows (which he always carries) to shoot love into people’s hearts.
This month as we celebrate this holiday of love, take the time to tell someone special that you care.
