Swimming Parent Helpers Thank you to all parents who have volunteered to help with our swimming program on Thursdays or Fridays this term. In the event of wet weather, please phone the school office at around 10.30am to check if swimming is cancelled.

Staffing Update Firstly, it is with great excitement that I am now able to announce the successful applicants of our recent merit selection process for the classroom teacher positions. Commencing in Term 1 2019, both Mrs Arentsen and Mrs Peach will take up these positions as permanent classroom teachers here at Beechood Public School. On behalf of all of our school community, I would like to congratulate Mrs Arentsen and Mrs Peach on their appointment and we look forward to many years of working alongside them both.

I would also like to say a very big thank you to Mr Newell, (our staff representative) and Leanne Farrington, (our community representative) who both contributed their time and expertise to the panel selection process.

Secondly, I would also like to congratulate Mrs Hansard who has secured a permanent teaching position at Wauchope Public School, commencing in 2019. Mrs Hansard will be sorely missed at Beechwood, and I would like to personally thank her for her dedication and commitment to enhancing all aspects of our school. I’m sure that you will join me in wishing her all the very best for her next teaching ‘adventure’!

COMMUNITY NEWS ISS Cleaning ISS our cleaning contractors are looking for persons that would be interested in cleaning schools in the Port Macquarie/Wauchope areas. If interested and would like some information about what’s involved please feel free to contact Vicki from ISS. Mob 0437477197.

P & C NEWS Crazy Camel Please have your order form and money to the office by this Friday 9th November so you don’t miss out. Giving Tree This year, the P&C has also decided to give back to the community. Instead of asking for donations for a

raffle, we are asking that each family purchases one present that will be donated to a family in need

through The Wauchope Neighbourhood Centre. Each class will be allocated an age group to purchase gifts

for and will wrap them together to be placed under the tree. We will happily accept donations of gifts, cash

or gift vouchers to put towards families that really need them this Christmas. Gifts can be dropped into

classrooms or into the basket in front of the office.
