About the author
Born on May 5, 1942 in Indiana -- twenty minutes after his twin brother was born!
Worked as a professor of economics before devoting himself to his writing.
Author of more than 80 children’s books.
Has received multiple awards from the American Library Association and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
