William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor. He was born on 26 April 1564 in Stratford Upon-Avon, and died on 23 April 1616.

Shakespeare is considered the most important writer in the English language and one of the most famous in world literature. He probably received his early education at the Stratford Grammar School.

On November 28, 1582, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway. Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616. He was married to Anne until his death, and had two daughters, Susannah and Judith.
