This is the film poster for the film avatar. I chose to analyse this poster because, I believe they have used allot of interesting techniques to create this poster. I personally believe that the image they have chose, will really draw in the audience as they have the two main characters placed at the top then they have the floating boulders, they flying creature with an avatar riding it. I think that by them choosing this image which is really good to look at it will draw in the reader to see what it would look like in the film. I also like how they have added at the top of the poster 2 previous films that have been a huge that were directed by the director of this film.This shows the audience previous success of the director and is used as a ploy to lure the leader. I personally think this is a good example of a film poster as its bright and colourful, with lots on the poster too look at.

Pain and gain is a film where the main focus is to scam rich men into signing over all their business and assets such as their house and cars. Looking at the poster you see to very serious threating blokes being mark Wahlberg and the rock both very well-known actors in the UK and America. The images of them take up a large majority of the poster to try and attract the attention of the audience. They also show a speed boat racing through the see, which shows us the action and thrilling events that will take place during the movie. They also have put an attractive young lady in the middle of the poster that feature in the film. I believe this is done to try and attract the male audience they are trying to get to watch this movie, as a majority would want to watch the film to see the action and mire of the women that’s on the front of the poster.

Straight away in this film poster we notice the stars on the top of the poster and the quotes next to them. This shows us what certain magazines or film blogs/websites have rated the film and a brief description of it. This gives the audience other well-known movie critic’s opinions of it. And since the film got good rating it temps the audience to go and watch the film. The image in the poster

links to the humour in the film as theirs a man stood urinating next his teddy that’s doing the same with a beer in his hand. This humorous picture shows the audience the sort of silly humour that will feature in the film. In this poster they also add place where you can follow the social networking pages for this film, this can be another way in which they can try and persuade people to watch the film.

This film poster simply advertises the large amount of quality action film actors they have in this film, by doing this they attract a huge audience as a majority of people on the planet will know at least one person on this poster and straight away know that this has the potential to be a very exciting action packed movie. Another thing that shows us that this will be action packed movie is the explosions and fire in the background.

Straight away in this poster we notice the huge tower of what looks like human body’s climbing up a bus to jump onto this helicopter. You straight away notice the fact some of these bodies are failing to their death to try and get this helicopter which highlights the tenacity of these zombies and shows us the horror within the film. You also see that at the top of the poster they have the name of the main actor Brad Pitt, which is an actor that is well known all over the world and is a great way to try and draw in the audience to watch the film. I think another way they have drawn in the audience would be that the name of the film being “world war z” by having “world war” links the mass destruction and huge devastation all over the world, and the z standing for zombies. This gives a small idea of what the film is going to be like which will draw in and excite the audience.

On this poster we straight away notice in bright red letters that the film was shortlisted for British film of the year award. This advertises to the audience that it is a good quality movie and a must see film of the year. Also the name of the film is in the middle of a target, so it shows us that this film is going to involve shooting and possible violence, which will attracted an audience interested in action movies. They have Michael Caine at the side of the poster who is probably one of Britain’s best actors which will attract the audience and get them to take notice in the poster.
