JAGUAR XF Jaguar XF is now produced in India. In 2008, Tata motors acquired Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford motors. Even though the ownership of Jaguar is in the hands of Tata since 2008, the Jaguar cars available in India were originally produced in Britain and imported to India. As a result of the high import tax, the Jaguar cars were having very high price. Tata started the production of Jaguar in India aiming at reducing the price of their models. They had established a manufacturing site at Pune for the manufacture of Jaguar. The first model which is produced there is Jaguar XF.Before starting the production of Jaguar XF in India, it was imported from Britain and costs RS 48.37 lakhs. It is expected that by the production of this car in India, the company will be able to make the vehicle available at a price of around RS 42 lakhs. Also it will increase the ready availability of Jaguar cars in India. This step is considered as the symbol of the importance of Indian market in luxury car industry.
