It is a recreational club meant for its members from the surrounding residential areas. The building provides sports facilities like badminton, squash, and a well-appointed health club and gymnasium in the basement. The dining room and member’s lounge are located at the ground floor and the party room, card rooms, billiards, restaurant and bar at the first floor. Six guestrooms are located at the second floor. Outdoor facilities like tennis, swimming pool, exercise area, etc, have been planned on the adjoining land which the club has yet to acquire. The entire circulation in the building revolves around a three—storey- high atrium and the public rooms look out onto the swimming pool area. Barring the restaurant, the rest of the interiors have a rustic appearance and are furnished with comfortable wooden furniture. Keeping in mind the difficulty of maintaining upholstered furniture, tables are finished with custom—made tiles and wooden tops and chairs with wooden seats.
