Apple just released iOS 7.1.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touc
(http://www.iphonehacks.com/2014/06/download-io s-7-1-2.html) for bug fixes a
security updates.
The good news is that iOS 7.1.2 can be jailbroken using Pangu out of the box, so jailbreakers ca
safely update your iOS device to iOS 7.1.2, and use Pangu to jailbreak it.
Some important points before you proceed:

Pangu supports following iOS 7.1 – iOS 7.1.2 devices:
iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
iPad mini, Retina iPad mini
iPod touch 5G
Please disable the passcode as the jailbreak may fail, if the passcode is enabled (Settings ->
General -> Passcode Lock On -> Turn Passcode Off).
Take a backup of your device using iTunes or iCloud before proceeding.
Please ensure you’ve updated iTunes to the latest version.
Please note that jailbreaking your iOS device(http://www.iphonehacks.com/jailbreak_iphone) may void your warranty and hence

Step 1: Download the latest version of Pan
jailbreak for Mac or Windows from this pag
(http://www.iphonehacks.com/download-
pangu-jailbreak).
Step 2:
Mac users: Double click on the Pangu dmg file yo
just downloaded to mount it.
Windows users: Launch the Pangu exe file as
Administrator. Right Click on the Pangu exe and sele
the “Run as Administrator” option.
Step 3: You should be presented with a screen like the one seen below. Click on the bla
Jailbreak button.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions. The app will ask you at one point to set your iOS devi
to June 2nd. To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Date & Time.
Step 5: After you change the date, it should restart the process and install the Pangu app on you
iOS device.

Step 6: Tap on the Pangu app on the Home screen of your device when prompted to continue wi
the jailbreak process. You will get a warning message, which will ask you whether you are “su
you want to open the Application “Pangu” from Developer “iPhone Distribution: Hefei Bo Fan
communication technology co., LTD?”. Tap on the Continue button to continue with the jailbre
process.
Step 7: Wait for your device to reboot several times. After a few minutes you should see that yo
have Cydia on your home screen and you’ll be ready to start installing tweaks on iOS 7.1.2. Yo
can also revert back to set the time automatically via the Settings app.

other than 1 from a black hat (ILLEGAL) hacking conference and one
discovered by i0nic (Stefan Esser), as well as the use of an expired

That has nothing to do with the jailbreak tool, but with what exactly the update from apple
contains. And this didn't changed any core elements the jailbreak exploits.

It's the tools, remember had to wait for them to update on iOS 6 however if you use
a hex editor you could jailbreak the latest using their tools.
It's the limitation set on tools, of ots for safety or not, who knows, but likely more s
they can control which versions their tools can jailbreak.

hey , i'm on ios7.0.4 , i will be upgradimg to ios 7.1.2 via itunes after i download the update
and will then be jailbreaking it with pangu.
I have done a normal backup with the itunes.My question is whether i will loose any of my
pictures on my camera roll during this whole process or will it still be there after the update
and the jailbreak.

lose the jailbreak or not? i used pangu to jailbreak my ios7.1.1 but im scared to update it to ios

You would need to jailbreak again if you update to 7.1.2. I would recommend you use
AppInfo in Cydia to get a list of all the apps/tweaks you have installed so you can reinstal
them again if needed.

Jailbreaks like evad3rs and Pangu disable OTA updates. So OTA upgrade is ruled
out in this case.
The only option is to update your device using iTunes, which will wipe the jailbreak
and the tweaks. You will have to re-jailbreak it again and install the tweaks.

I am too! I used Pangu on 7.1.1 with no problems and then rejailbroke after I updated to
7.1.2. Since updating, it seems to be acting like cydia substrate is not working correctly an
everything disappears after each reboot but is still listed in cydia. After reinstalling cydia
substrate and the other tweaks they work flawlessly once again until the next reboot.
Someone please tell Saurik to check it out! Oh btw, I used Pangu 1.1.0 both times.

I'm dealing with this right now. I reinstalled cydia substrate and safe mode and the tweaks
worked again until I added another one. Now nothing shows up in settings again even whe

I didn´t notice that, but here it comes.
iPhone 4S - 7.1.2 - it seems everything going OK , I have installed Crash Reporter and
iCleaner Pro... both working OK and icons on the springboard.
iPad Air - 7.1.2 - I had also installed Crash Reporter and iCleaner Pro., but the icons does
not apper in the spring board. Even at Cydia it is shown as installed
I will try to check the compatibility with A64 processor maybe thats the tweak issue.
